On Thursday, June 5 we’re playing at the Cobra Lounge which according to its MySpace page is “YER ROCK-N-ROLL PUSSY HOLE!!!”
Also on the bill are the Venom Lords and the Veterans. Here’s a flyer.
This will mark the first time we’ve ever played at a bar that carries Schlitz and the second time we’ve played at a bar that advertises its wing specials.
The show starts at 10:00 and Cobra Lounge is at 235 N. Ashland.

Have you ever been to Barrington? Tons of times, right?
Have you ever seen Hay Perro? Once for like five minutes, right?
Well now, at long last, you can combine those two activities. Next Saturday (April 19) we are playing at the Penny Road Pub in Barrington, at the Underground stage. It’s at 545 Penny Road, Barrington, IL.
Joining us are The Wreckage, Urban Squirrel Deluxe, and Matthew Schafer Band. We play last.
They have a lobster claw game machine, people! Like those things at movie theaters filled with stuffed puppies, except here it’s live fucking lobsters that you can eat if you win.

In November, the Illinois Entertainer ran a positive review of “A Stepper’s Affair.” Since the page didn’t show up in Ben’s weekly Google searches for “‘hay perro’ ‘a stepper’s affair,’” we only found out now.
Their kind words have forever been archived here. If there’s ever an Hay Perro press kit, the final sentence will likely be quoted.

There are three new songs in the recordings section. Much to the ire of the audiophiles among you, they are encoded at a mere 160 kbps.
If you prefer to listen to them in even lower fidelity while looking at pictures of our friends and/or advertisements for upcoming shows on FOX, they are also on our MySpace page.

We will be triumphantly returning to the Red Line Tap on November 30th. It should be a lot of fun. It is Erik’s birthday celebration and we will be playing with our friends in Yarn, as well as Hot Heels Records. It promises to be pretty ridiculous. We have new songs, some great covers and a new ridiculous guitar. As usual it starts at 9 and is at 7000 N. Glenwood. See you there……….

We’re playing at the brand new Reggie’s Bar in the South Loop on Friday, October 26. It’s a new venue located at 2105 S. State Street. It’s a free show and Reggie’s is two blocks from the Chinatown Red Line Stop.
In addition to hosting live music, Reggie’s also has a record store onsite. This combination of live and recorded music prompts extremely reputable publications like MetroMix to dub it a “music mecca.”
Also on the bill are the Oil Can Boys and Libyan Hit Squad.
(n.b. we are playing in the “music joint” portion of Reggie’s. It’s the smaller of their two venues. If you get there and find yourself in a large room with a burly gentleman asking for a cover charge, go one door north.)
